? Cycle-Breakers who are passionate about taking a hands-on approach to breaking the cycle of poverty in Maricopa County.
Specifically, we are seeking a Vice President of Human Resources (HR). The Vice President of HR is responsible for providing leadership in developing and executing HR strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and also works closely with the Leadership Team and specifically the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) on human resource, talent and internal culture, and employee development programs. They works directly in the areas of talent management, internal communications and culture, change management, organizational development, performance management, training and development, compliance, compensation and succession planning. This position supervises two HR Business Partners.
What You?ll Do
? Develops HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of strategic initiatives.
? Directs comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the talent needs of the organization.
? Develops and implements comprehensive compensation and benefit plans that are competitive, proactive, progressive and cost effective.
? Effectively manages the budget and other financial measures of the HR Department.
? Oversees the strategic direction of building effective internal employee communications to enhance organizational culture and employee engagement.
? Develops organizational learning and development programs promoting full development and performance of all employees.
? Develops and maintains the appropriate policies and programs for effective management of the people resources of VSUW. Included in this area but not limited to the following are affirmative action, anti-harassment, and employee complaints. Act as compliance and governance regulator related to HR laws and regulation.
? Perform additional duties as needed.
What You?ll Need
? A bachelor?s degree from an accredited college/university.
? PHR/SPHR certification and/or SHRM-SCP/SHRM-CP.
? A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience, with at least 5 years of direct HR management.
? Must be able to think strategically and execute tactically; working across functional areas and with the Leadership Team and management.
? Must have a demonstrated background in talent, leadership and organizational management; as well as have a proven ability to attract and retain outstanding talent to assemble and motivate high performance teams.
? Must be proficient in Microsoft applications as well as with a variety of technological platforms in order to effectively operate in a dynamic mobile work environment.
? Ability to work in a remote environment (not all positions work remotely, but many of our team mates work out of the office 1-4 days per week).
