We are seeking a Vice President of Corporate and Foundation Relations, which is a key role on our Donor Impact Team. This individual is responsible for creating and leading an aggressive and adaptive team using traditional and nontraditional revenue generation strategies. This position is accountable to sustainability and growth of the corporate and foundation revenue base and is accountable for the achievement of annual goals for corporations, grants, and new partnerships. The Corporate and Foundation Relations Team must utilize a customer-focused, consultative sales philosophy that focuses on lead generation, acquisition, retention, and growth. They are responsible for generating at least $20M unrestricted funding annually from a corporate base of support of over 450 companies and 85,000+ donors. This team is also responsible for sustaining over $50M in grant funding that primarily accelerates our work in education.


What You’ll Do:



  • Manage and lead two to five direct reports

  • Accountable for the achievement of the corporate revenue goal, individually and the development team

  • Build strong, strategic, and critical relationships with corporate leaders and successfully solicits and stewards a high-profile portfolio

  • Drives strategic planning and implementation to sustain and increase revenue using both traditional and nontraditional giving methodologies; evaluates results and adjusts strategies using data to drive decision-making

    • Build an aggressive lead generation team to build new partnerships that are retained and grow in value over time to increase the prospect base of support; assist team in creating new partnerships with high potential corporate prospects

    • Working with the team, establishes year-round partnerships and agreements with corporate investors; especially the Strategic 25 which generate the majority of annual revenue

    • Coordinates with other functional areas to achieve revenue goals and work closely with the Vice President of Donor Impact Operations to evaluate results, forecast goals and build annual and strategic plans

    • Uses knowledge and market research about the community and the corporate giving base, understands corporate donor needs, both from a corporate and an individual employee perspective

    • Manages and grows the Loaned Executive (LE) and Alumni programs to augment staff during peak periods of the corporate campaign season.

    • Perform ad hoc projects




What You’ll Need:



  • At least five years of progressive experience in consultative sales, development, or a related area

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing/Sales, Nonprofit, or a related field

  • Demonstrative experience in building and leading successful fundraising and/ or sales teams

  • Excellent skills in public speaking, training, facilitation, writing, and presentation skills, both one-on-one and publically

  • Creative in approaching problem-solving and negotiation

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to summarize data into common language

  • Are used to working in a remote environment (not all positions work remotely, but many of our team mates work out of the office 1-4 days per week)

  • Have a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing/Sales, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
